Controls are unavailable

Check the USB connection and supported camera firmware. The app prepares controls automatically after connection, restart and reconnection. Turn tracking off and keep a clear movement path. If the connection remains unavailable, check Settings → Camera and the displayed error. If the position is outside the native control range, use the camera’s joystick to move inward before retrying.

The preview is missing

Connect the camera in Settings, select Pocket camera · USB and enable preview. Check macOS camera permission for Osmo Webcam. If another app is using the Pocket, release that capture or select OBS Virtual Camera after starting it in OBS. Disconnect intentionally turns preview off; enable it again after reconnecting. Controls remain independent of preview.

A Stream Deck button does nothing

Keep Osmo Webcam running and check that the camera is Ready. Choose Connect Stream Deck in the app, then select a preset in the action’s dropdown. The preset must belong to the connected camera. Deleted bindings do not choose a different preset. After revoking access, pair again explicitly from the app. No inspector token field is needed.

For HTTP actions, check that the optional bridge is running and use the method, URL and header shown in the app’s Integrations guide. These credentials differ from direct API client tokens.

An update was interrupted

Open the installed app and follow recovery. Preserve saved state and local diagnostics. Do not delete lock files or replace app bundles while recovery is running. If recovery cannot continue, report its visible error code.

What to include in a report

• App and plugin versions, macOS version and Mac architecture.
• Camera model and firmware version, checked on the camera.
• The steps taken, expected result, actual result and visible error code.
• A cropped screenshot if it helps explain the problem.

Compatibility and limitations

The first release targets Apple Silicon, macOS 26+ and standard Pocket 4 firmware 01.03.14.04. Battery telemetry, DJI ActiveTrack control and additional platforms are not included. Keep tracking off. Clean-account and second-Mac coverage remain unqualified for this release. Arrival, immediate physical stop, wider-range behavior and release qualification have limits; consult the notes attached to the exact release you install.
